Caleb's new space

One of the downfalls in living in a small apartment is that there is not much room for Caleb to have his own space. We decided to rearrange some furniture and setup his crib in the dining room. It ended up looking great and I call it his room. =)

First Daddy assembled the crib...

And we decorated it with the "Barnyard" theme set which is the cutest thing ever!

Caleb has been sleeping great in his crib. He transitioned without any trouble. Mama did though! I started using it for naps for almost a week before I would let him sleep in his crib at night. Sometimes Caleb lays in his crib to play. He loves to talk to the farm animals on his mobile. I don't think anyone told him mobiles are supposed to help him sleep....

The last thing I wanted to share are two things that have helped us with the crib transition. First our baby monitor, Fisher Price Sounds & Lights Monitor is one of the cheapest models out there. It works great and allows me to hear Caleb over the fan, air conditioning etc. Second, the Sound Sleeper is a great white noise machine. We usually play the Ocean sounds along with occasional bursts of thunder! It's very relaxing, but what I like is that is provides steady noise for Caleb. That way when I'm doing things in the apartment he doesn't hear it as much. I also think it helps him sleep longer! And on that note, he slept from 11p-6a last night! Yay!!!!

Momma's back to work!

Last Wednesday was my first day back to work. Grandma Kathy kept Caleb until Daddy got home. Caleb did pretty well with them, he isn't a huge fan of the bottle but he takes it. I love knowing that he prefers me! =) Pumping is going well, I use a back office to pump. It's boring standing in a corner, but I am able to pump enough to keep up with what Caleb's eating. That's all that matters!

Saturday Caleb had a busy day!! While I was at work, he went downtown to Artsplosure with Daddy and Aunt Nancy. He got to check out local artists and meet our friend Ruth from "Allover Art."

Sunday we took a family trip to the mall. Caleb LOVED looking around and seeing what was going on. He is so much more alert and excited, it's a lot of fun to take him places. But of course all of the excitement wore him out...

And last but not least, Caleb is rocking his white pants BEFORE Memorial Day!! =)

Caleb's Two Month Well Visit

Caleb's 2 month check-up was last week. He got 2 shots and an oral vaccine. I hated watching him get the shots, the nurse did one in each thigh. BOOM BOOM! He screamed but settled down pretty quickly. He then proceeded to flirt and smile with the nurses! What a cutie!

His stats:
12lbs, 13ozs (75%)
22" (10%)
Apparently he's going to be short and chunky!

Caleb helped me play with the toy from the cereal box the other day! Here is his Trekkie picture:

I'm a bad blogger...

I started this blog fully intending to blog about Caleb and his development, showing off his pictures etc. I'm a slacker! I think I'll just start today and see what happens.
