Caleb's Four Month Well Visit

It seems like the last few months flew by! Caleb has changed so much and is much less of a blob now. =) He now: babbles, laughs, holds toys, chews toy, rolls over and the best part - can soothe himself to sleep! He is also big enough to sit in his exersaucer and play with the toys. Glen and I are loving this stage!

His 4 month check-up was great. The doctor gave us the go-ahead to start solids, but I'm not sure we're ready. I think we'll wait a few weeks.
His stats:
Weight: 16lbs, 15.5ozs (90%)
Height: 24.5 inches (35%)
Head: 43.5 centimeters (85%)

First Trip to the Park!

Caleb, Daddy and I spent some time last Sunday at Laurel Hills Park in North Raleigh. It was Caleb's first time at a park and I say it was a success! First we tried out the baby swings, then moved onto the big swings, the castle and finally the slide! It was fun being out as a family and seeing how Caleb reacted to things. I say he had fun!

Pool time - with video

Saturday was HOT so we took an hour to head to the pool. I bought a float while we were at the beach, and it worked great. Caleb enjoyed kicking his legs and moving his float around the pool. And Daddy being Daddy, dunked Caleb. I am trying to upload the video - if it works I'll add that later. Caleb didn't care for dunking =) edit: video here!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming

Last week I took a few days to go stay with my parents. Since the weather was rainy, my sister and I decided to take our crew to the aquarium. It was such a fun day!
Caroline helped push Baby Caleb...and only ran off the sidewalk a few times!

Caleb spent most of his time riding

but when we got to the big ocean tank, he got out for a closer look. Caleb LOVED it! He was moving his head following the fish that swam by, talking to them and laughing. Now I personally can't talk to fish, but Caleb must know something I don't! It was so cute. Our favorite thing was the sea turtle (DUDE!). We all had a great time, I can't wait to go again!

Congratulations Daddy!!!

Glen graduated from ECPI College this month! Caleb and I are so proud of him! Glen has worked very hard the last 2 years. Here he is accepting his diploma:

Caleb and his cousins!

Yesterday Caleb and I spent the afternoon with Aunt Beth and his 4 big cousins. We had a picnic lunch, toured the science museum downtown, ate our way through Whole Foods and then met Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Earl and Daddy for dinner. Caleb was such a trooper being out all day, but was tuckered out at the end. He slept from 9:30-4:50 last night! =)

I didn't get to take many pictures because I left my memory card at home - but here are a few we took at the museum. Caleb slept through the group shot....

And this is the bunch my sister and I are proud to be mommies of, aren't they CUTE? This was taken a few weeks ago.

Now for a blast from the past! Even though this is Caleb's blog, Beth's kids are my babies too! Does anyone look like Caleb?! This pictures are from random ages, just whatever I could find on my computer.
Here's a baby Alex, who is now 8!!

And baby Brian (now almost 5)

Caroline who is now 3

And last but not least, Daniel who just turned 1!

Three months already!

I can't believe our baby is three months old already! Caleb is becoming such a social bug! He loves to talk and smile, and hates not being able to see what's going on.

Caleb and Daddy are continuing to get out on their days together. Last Saturday they met Grandma, Grandpa and Alex at the State Fairgrounds for the "Got to be NC Festival." Grandma got to wear Caleb this time! Apparently Caleb is just like Mommy, looking at tractors all day is BORING!

Caleb officially started rolling over! He rolled over a few times on his playgym, plus at night when I get him up to nurse he has usually flipped over. Caleb also can bat at objects and hold things in his hands. Here he is in his new "Hop N Pop" toy - he loves to sit in it and look around. He's not quite big enough to hop and make it play music, but I'm sure he will be very soon! I think this toy is great for smaller babies, the back is really high and supports him very well. Plus it's pretty small, so good for saving space!

He is growing like crazy, I can barely fit most of his 0-3months clothes on him. Plus he's outgrown things like shoes and hats that fit him a few weeks ago. Daddy managed to get a good picture of his sandals!
